Thom Browne<\/span><\/a> and photographer <\/span>Robbie Lawrence<\/span><\/a> celebrated the release of <\/span>The Working Hour<\/span><\/i><\/a> at the <\/span>Institute of Contemporary Arts<\/span><\/a> in London. It was a collaborative multimedia project built around human movement and light. The project was set against a Tokyo cityscape. Notably, the event marked the physical debut of a limited edition magazine. This magazine connects the project’s visual language to a tangible, collectible format.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tokyo in a London Institution<\/b><\/h3>\n

The ICA activation transported a corner of Tokyo into one of London’s most culturally significant buildings. In addition, a custom installation featured a weathered newsstand, a lamppost, and a phone booth. Each detail was drawn from Tokyo street life. As a result, the ICA space became an immersive urban scene rooted in Japanese city culture.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Project Itself<\/b><\/h3>\n

The Working Hour<\/span><\/i> is a multimedia collaboration between Browne and Lawrence exploring how light moves through and shapes a crowded Japanese cityscape. The project sits at the intersection of fashion, photography, and urban observation, consistent with Browne’s long-standing interest in ritual, precision, and the poetry of everyday environments.<\/span><\/p>\n

Access and Availability<\/b><\/h3>\n

Limited copies of <\/span>The Working Hour<\/span><\/i> magazine were made available at select Thom Browne stores across New York, Los Angeles, London, Tokyo, and Seoul over the release weekend. No wider distribution has been confirmed.<\/span><\/p>\n
