IMBOX Protection<\/span><\/a> has delivered a custom, personalized footwear protection machine to DJ Khaled’s Miami home. This is the first time the Danish made technology has moved outside a retail environment in the brand’s 15 year history. The one of a kind unit was unboxed at Khaled’s residence on March 26. In fact, this is an extension of the existing relationship between IMBOX, SNIPES, and Khaled himself.<\/span><\/p>\n

The collection behind the move<\/b><\/h3>\n

DJ Khaled’s personal sneaker collection exceeds 10,000 pairs and is valued at over<\/span> $8 million<\/span><\/a>, making it one of the largest celebrity collections on record. He has served as SNIPES’ Chief Creative Officer for over five years. Additionally, he operates the WE THE BEST x SNIPES South Beach store, which already hosts an in-store IMBOX unit.<\/span><\/p>\n

DJ Khaled<\/b> said<\/span><\/a>, “When you collect your kicks the way I do, protecting them isn’t optional \u2014 it’s a major key\u2026 <\/span>We have an IMBOX in our WE THE BEST x SNIPES South Beach store and<\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019m looking forward to having my own IMBOX machine at home, so every pair in my collection is properly protected.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

IMBOX Protection applies a proprietary PFAS free, water based formula to footwear at the point of purchase, guarding against water damage, dirt, stains, and color fade across suede, leather, textile, nubuck, and synthetics. Each in store treatment takes one minute and costs $8\u2013$10 per pair. The technology, launched in Denmark in 2011, now operates across more than retail units in 41 countries. As a result, over 200 million treatments have been performed.<\/span><\/p>\n

Retail reach<\/b><\/h3>\n
