Alexander Wang<\/span><\/a> debuted the Griphoria as part of the Spring 2026 collection at New York Fashion Week in September 2025. Now, the shoe is available in stores and at<\/span> alexanderwang.com<\/span><\/a> at $795. It is the brand’s first ever 3D printed shoe. The shoe is produced in partnership with on demand manufacturing platform Hilos and digital fabrication company Prototek. It also uses Carbon’s Digital Light Synthesis technology.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Process<\/span><\/h3>\n

The Griphoria is built on a “duo print construction,” a process developed by Hilos using only two Carbon materials throughout the entire shoe. EPU 46 is for the upper and insole. RPU 70 is for the rigid heel. EPU 46 is an elastomeric polyurethane that creates lattice structures with inherent cushioning and flex. Meanwhile, RPU 70 is a rigid, high strength resin engineered for durability in load bearing areas. The construction requires no molds and no CAD file variations per size. In addition, it produces no excess material. Each pair is printed to order using Carbon&#039;s Digital Light Synthesis process. This process cures resin with light rather than heat.<\/span><\/p>\n

Design and Silhouette<\/span><\/h3>\n

The Griphoria is available as a stiletto mule with a lug sole. It integrates the outsole and heel into a single continuous 3D printed form without traditional assembly. The current colorway at alexanderwang.com is Black, with sizes running from 35 to 41. The lug sole positions the shoe at the intersection of utility and evening wear. This is consistent with Wang’s broader brand vocabulary of athletic references meeting high fashion construction.<\/span><\/p>\n
