Burberry is marking its 170th anniversary with a country-house Christmas in “Wrapped in Burberry: Celebrating 170 Years.” The November 3 announcement introduces a holiday film directed by Harmony Korine and set at Longleat House in Wiltshire.
Pierce Brosnan and Fiona Shaw host a cast drawn from film, fashion and sport. Guests include Dwyane Wade, Gabrielle Union, Cara Delevingne, Dylan Brosnan, Kim Min-ha, Nico Parker and Wu Lei. The mix gives the house’s British setting a wider cultural reach without losing the intimacy of a festive gathering.
The campaign also connects directly with the holiday assortment. Cashmere outerwear and check scarves sit alongside textured bags and children’s clothing. Burberry’s first Smythson collaboration introduces English-made leather notebooks and folding chess and backgammon sets designed for travel.
That country-house world extends into retail windows, where check curtains frame oversized books, armchairs, trees and Thomas Bears. In-store Cashmere Shop spaces bring scarves, knitwear and outerwear together around a signature material.
The result joins campaign storytelling with a retail presentation built around recognisable house codes. The anniversary supplies the occasion; the gathering makes those codes part of a shared seasonal ritual.
