Christian Louboutin made its signature La Pigalle pump the central character of Eternal Youth, the house’s women’s Spring/Summer 2027 presentation starring Dita Von Teese. The show uses a theatrical story inspired by Snow White to frame the shoe as an expression of self-determination and transformation.
The focus reaches beyond staging. Louboutin says La Pigalle, introduced in 2004, was reworked in 2026 with enhanced comfort and its new Everlasting Red Sole while retaining its pointed, architectural line. For the presentation, the house’s atelier also created exceptional versions, including Macbetha, a crystal-embellished interpretation with sculptural metal details.
Von Teese’s performance moves through an ebony, white and crimson setting that echoes the house’s red-sole identity. La Pigalle acts as a recurring object in the story, linking the spectacle to a recognizable product rather than serving only as a runway accessory.
The presentation shows how a luxury footwear house can revisit a long-running silhouette while giving it a new cultural setting. Its product changes concern comfort and the sole; its showpieces push the same pump toward ornament and performance. Together, those choices keep La Pigalle visible across both everyday luxury and fashion theater without changing the shape that made it a house signature.
