Danone is changing US leadership as it works to restore momentum in its North American dairy and plant-based business. The company’s October 28 quarterly release reported sales of €7.233 billion, up 4% like-for-like in the third quarter of 2026.
Pricing contributed 3.6% to that increase, while volume and mix added 0.4%. North American like-for-like growth was 2.4%, with volume and mix down 0.6%.
Growth and execution are separate tests
High-protein products continued to support growth across the Americas. Danone nevertheless outlined action to improve North American execution and build an innovation pipeline beyond high protein.
New leadership for the US business takes effect immediately and reports to Henri Bruxelles. The release does not identify the appointees.
Danone maintained its 2026 outlook for like-for-like sales growth of 3–5%, with recurring operating income growing faster than sales. It also said Chief Operations Officer Vikram Agarwal will retire in early 2027; succession details will follow.
The update shows why a strong category does not remove the need for operational change. Pricing supplied most of the group’s quarterly like-for-like growth, while the US leadership reset places renewed emphasis on execution. The financial results describe commercial performance, rather than independently establishing nutritional or health benefits.
