FILA and Seoul based running community ARC (A Running Club) are releasing the FLOAT TR9 2.0 trail running shoe on April 17, 2026, through fila.co.kr and ARC channels. The drop is the latest chapter in an ongoing partnership between the Italian origin brand and ARC. ARC is a Korean running collective that has built a following around community led trail and road running culture.
Shape of running
The campaign editorial title, “Shape of Running”, draws directly from Korean ceramic tradition. It uses the restrained color palette and textured surfaces of celadon pottery as the creative reference point for the shoe’s colorway and finish. The concept frames trail running not as a performance pursuit alone, but as something shaped by rhythm and environment. Each runner also forms a distinct impression over time.
Design and color
The FLOAT TR9 2.0 launches in two confirmed colorways: Black and Green. The ceramic-inspired direction translates into muted, earthy tones with surface detailing that mirrors the restrained aesthetics of traditional Korean pottery. In addition, the shoe builds on the base FLOAT TR9 platform. This platform features a breathable mesh upper reinforced with Cordura material for trail durability.
Release details
The FLOAT TR9 2.0 drops on April 17, 2026, priced at ₩219,000 in Korea. It is available through fila.co.kr and ARC’s own channels. A running session celebrating the launch was also held in partnership with OYM. The event was hosted across three store locations ahead of the release date. No official USD pricing was confirmed at the time of publication.
Trail performance
The base FLOAT TR9 platform combines breathable mesh with Cordura construction on the upper for protection during off road running. FILA’s FLOAT+ cushioning foam delivers energy return and shock absorption suited to uneven terrain, making the TR9 2.0 a functional trail shoe, not simply a lifestyle collaboration piece.
The FLOAT TR9 2.0 sits at the crossroads of FILA Korea’s ongoing push into performance running and the broader rise of community running culture across Asia, where clubs like ARC have expanded their influence from local runs to design forward collaborations with major sportswear brands.
