Glanbia has raised its 2026 earnings-growth outlook after a strong nine-month performance led by Optimum Nutrition. The November 4 trading statement reports third-quarter like-for-like revenue growth of 26.9% at the sports-nutrition brand, comprising 0.8% volume growth and 26.1% pricing growth.

For the nine months ended October 3, Optimum Nutrition’s like-for-like revenue increased 25.8%. Glanbia attributed the advance to category growth, market-share gains, distribution expansion, innovation and pricing actions. Chief executive Hugh McGuire linked those pricing actions to significant whey inflation and said the group continued investing in the brand.

Group like-for-like revenue grew 9.9% over the nine-month period, with growth in volume across all three segments. Performance Nutrition revenue increased 18% on the same basis.

Glanbia now expects full-year Performance Nutrition like-for-like revenue growth of 16% to 17%, up from 12% to 14%. Its forecast for adjusted earnings-per-share growth rises to 22% to 24%, from 17% to 20%, at constant currencies. Like-for-like revenue figures exclude the net impact of acquisitions and disposals and use constant exchange rates.
