Golden Goose activated the Golden Goose Arena in Milan’s CityLife district during Milan Design Week, running from April 21 to 26, 2026, with “Trace of the Listening Court” as the centerpiece installation. The activation marks the Arena’s first major cultural moment since it opened in September 2025, using Milan’s highest-profile design week to establish the space as a platform for art, sport, and community.
The Installation
Mexican multidisciplinary artist Sofia Elias transformed the Arena’s two outdoor padel courts into a large scale immersive landscape, reinterpreting the court walls as mirrored yet transparent surfaces that subtly distort lines and silhouettes. Sound design amplifies the echo of rackets and crowd murmur, folding the sonic texture of padel into the visual experience. The piece draws on Padel’s Mexican cultural roots as its conceptual anchor.
The Wider Program
Beyond the installation, the Arena hosted talks, a creative workshop, and a padel tournament involving six Milanese design communities, programmed in partnership with Simple Flair, a Milan-based duo behind projects including Convey and Spazio Riviera. The daytime format kept the activation grounded in participation rather than spectacle.
Arena as Brand Platform
The Golden Goose Arena was conceived by architect Fabio Novembre in collaboration with CityLife and City Padel Milano, housing six indoor and two outdoor courts. Golden Goose is using it as a recurring cultural venue, not just a sports facility, a model that fits the brand’s positioning at the intersection of premium lifestyle, sport, and design.
