Lacoste took its Spring/Summer 2027 collection onto the clay of Roland-Garros, using the tennis court as a starting point for footwear as well as clothes. Its sculptural ACE-T1 caged sneaker takes the stretched net as a design reference, according to the brand's runway release.

The idea moves through three shoe forms in the collection: a sneaker, a tennis-ball wedge and a lace-up pump. In the sneaker, an open cage wraps the upper while acid-yellow details break up the white base. The shapes carry a sport reference into silhouettes designed for different ways of dressing, extending a familiar tennis code beyond the court.

Creative director Pelagia Kolotouros called the collection “Dress Code: No White Required.” That title shifts attention from tennis's traditional uniform toward self-expression. On the runway, cobalt tracksuits, oversized piqué polos and clay-marked garments made the court feel less like a rulebook and more like a place where movement leaves a trace.

The ACE-T1 is the clearest footwear expression of that approach. Lacoste has kept the visual language of tennis—the net, ball and court—while changing its scale and purpose across a sneaker, wedge and pump. The result connects the brand's sporting roots to the wider fashion appetite for performance cues in everyday style.
