Lacoste and New Era have launched a golf inspired capsule collection built around two of headwear’s most recognizable silhouettes. This comes just as the golf lifestyle category continues to expand across sport and streetwear. Early access opened March 16 for Lacoste members. Meanwhile, a wider release begins March 18 across Lacoste selected stores, lacoste.com, and New Era’s website.
Two Icons, One Fairway
The collaboration pairs Lacoste’s nearly century of sport heritage, rooted in René Lacoste’s tennis origins and later expansion into golf, with New Era’s position as the dominant name in structured and unstructured cap culture. The result is a capsule that targets the growing overlap between golf performance dressing and everyday lifestyle wear. Notably, this is a segment drawing increasing attention from both sportswear and streetwear brands.
The Caps
At the center of the collection are the 9TWENTY and 9FORTY silhouettes. The 9TWENTY offers an unstructured, low-profile crown with a relaxed fit. In contrast, the 9FORTY brings a lightly structured crown and adjustable D-Ring closure. Both are constructed in cotton twill for lightweight wear. Also, both feature embroidered graphic badges drawn from Lacoste’s heritage archive.
Design and Branding
The graphic badges are the main visual statement, bold Lacoste-coded motifs placed on clean, sport-minimal bases. Colorways include Optic White, Bright Green, Pink, Dark Green, and Flag variations. This keeps the palette rooted in Lacoste’s classic palette while nodding to New Era’s broader range. The crocodile insignia appears across both silhouettes, integrating Lacoste’s brand signature into New Era’s established headwear construction.
Access and Availability
The capsule is available from March 18 in selected Lacoste stores and on lacoste.com, with parallel availability on neweracap.com and New Era’s global e commerce channels. Lacoste members received early access from March 16, a move consistent with the brand’s ongoing strategy to reward loyalty program subscribers ahead of general release.
