Mizuno Sportstyle and Seoul based streetwear brand Covernat unveiled their first ever collaboration on the Wave Daichi LS, launching in Hong Kong on April 22, 2026, at HK$1,390 through the Mizuno Sportstyle K11 Art Mall store in Tsim Sha Tsui and the Mizuno HK online store. Simultaneously, it will release in Korea through Covernat’s own channels. The collaboration follows a prior Wave Daichi LS project with Milan institution 10 Corso Como. As a result, it continues Mizuno Sportstyle’s strategy of pairing the silhouette with culturally distinct global partners.

The Wave Daichi LS

The Wave Daichi LS is a lifestyle reinterpretation of the Wave Daichi 4, a trail running classic from the late 2010s. It was rebuilt with updated materials and modern construction while retaining the original’s core technical foundations. Also, it carries Mizuno’s signature WAVE midsole cushioning technology and a Michelin rubber outsole. This is the same high traction compound used in KEEN and New Balance technical trail applications. Therefore, it is placed at the functional end of the outdoor lifestyle sneaker segment.

Covernat’s Design Direction

For the collaboration, Covernat applied a Beige/Metallic Gray/Brown colorway to the Wave Daichi LS upper. They combined synthetic leather panels with a checked double mesh construction for layered texture and depth. Dual tone laces add a functional detail, and co branding appears at the heel and lateral sides. This is consistent with Covernat’s understated approach to co branded product. The style code is D1GD262101, with a confirmed US retail price of $140.

Covernat

Founded in Seoul in 2010, Covernat is one of South Korea’s most established independent streetwear labels, built around a workwear meets outdoor aesthetic and a loyal domestic following. The brand has developed a growing international stockist network across Asia and has been an active collaborator with Japanese and American sportswear brands, making the Mizuno partnership a natural fit within its broader portfolio. The Wave Daichi LS x Covernat is the first time the two brands have worked together.
