Onitsuka Tiger has introduced the MEXICO 66 GOLF, a performance golf shoe built on the silhouette of the classic MEXICO 66 SD. It is positioned as the brand’s key hybrid footwear release for 2026. Moreover, the shoe follows the MEXICO 66 DRIVING (2024) and ULTI RS™ (2025). This extends Onitsuka Tiger’s push into the course to city segment across consecutive seasons.
Heritage frame, golf function
The MEXICO 66 GOLF is constructed from waterproof premium leather and meets the standards of the Japan Golf Goods Association. Its outsole is engineered for stability and traction through the swing. Furthermore, it is supported by a heel protection unit and a lateral support frame. FF BLAST™ heel cushioning completes the performance stack. This adds rebound and comfort across the full round.
Design details
A winged tongue structure limits sand entry, while a kiltie detail adds a retro futuristic visual layer and protects against mud and debris. Embroidered logo detailing sits on the tongue flap. Meanwhile, a metal logo lands at the heel, detailing consistent with Onitsuka Tiger’s broader premium positioning. The shoe launches in six colorways.
Availability
The MEXICO 66 GOLF is available now through the Onitsuka Tiger online store and select retail locations. No global retail pricing has been confirmed in official English language sources at the time of writing.
The release signals a deliberate pattern: Onitsuka Tiger is using its most recognisable silhouette as the vehicle for category expansion, moving the MEXICO 66 nameplate from lifestyle into sport adjacent territory one season at a time.
