Prada will open Prada Galleria in Milan on September 23, creating a single destination that combines fashion, hospitality, art and brand history across eight floors.
The project sits in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, the site of the original Fratelli Prada boutique, established in 1913. Prada Group says the development brings together Prada Donna, Prada Uomo, Marchesi 1824, the Osservatorio Fondazione Prada, a private-client salon and an exhibition on the brand's history and future.
The women's and men's stores will be positioned on opposite sides of the Galleria beneath the central dome. Prada has said the women's boutique will expand and that a new underground passage will link the two spaces.
The opening makes retail itself the story: a branded environment designed to hold product, service, food and culture together in a landmark setting. Footwear remains part of the wider fashion offer, while the project's larger significance is its approach to the luxury customer journey.
