Under Armour has released RaKai’s first footwear collaboration, the UA Arc 96 “25XX,” taking a creator partnership from a behind-the-scenes series to a $155 sneaker. Announced October 19, it is available through UA.com and select JD Sports locations.
The project grew out of Full Access with RaKai, the social series that began in March. According to Under Armour’s announcement, more than 15,000 fans joined a live design session and contributed opinions on colors and details.
A sneaker shaped around a community
Hyper Green anchors the design. The “25” references both RaKai’s former football jersey number and his 25XX community, while a glow-in-the-dark outsole connects the shoe to his late-night streaming routine.
For Under Armour, the release gives its Arc 96 sportswear silhouette a story beyond its basketball references. The product carries elements that viewers watched develop, connecting participation in the design process with the eventual retail launch.
RaKai’s audience encountered the sneaker as a work in progress before seeing the finished collaboration. That makes the design session part of the product’s identity, rather than simply a promotional event around its release.
