adidas Originals has launched its first co designed collection with JENNIE. The Fall Winter 2026 range moves the artist from ambassador to creative partner. It uses ballet, sport and surreal imagery to rework adidas classics through a more personal lens. The collection is built around “Functional Grace.” It combines soft shapes with sport inspired details. The result is a wardrobe that feels refined, controlled and ready for everyday wear.
A new role for JENNIE
JENNIE has worked with adidas for several years. She has fronted campaigns and represented the adidas Originals label around the world. This release gives her a more active role in the brand’s product story. She now joins adidas as a co designer. The collection is not simply built around her image. It reflects her design point of view, from the footwear shape to the layered apparel and accessories.
The campaign is titled “Cosmic Ballerina: Kinematics.” It places JENNIE in a dreamlike world inspired by space. The imagery uses floating movement and surreal settings to present ballet as a symbol of strength, freedom and control. Ballet is the starting point, but the collection avoids costume styling. JENNIE and adidas use its visual language for the street. The range mixes quiet details with stronger sport and utility references.
The Superstar changes shape
The SUPERSTAR SQ BALLET is the key footwear release. It reworks the adidas Superstar through the form of a ballet pointe shoe. The sneaker has a squared toe, a premium leather upper and soft lambskin lining. Ribbon detailing replaces some familiar elements of the original Superstar. Removable laces also give the wearer more styling options.
The shift is significant. The Superstar is one of adidas Originals’ most recognisable silhouettes. It has strong links to basketball, hip hop and streetwear. JENNIE moves it into a more feminine and fashion focused space while keeping its adidas identity intact. The square toe is the strongest update. It gives the shoe the visual character of a pointe shoe while keeping a low profile sneaker shape. The result is more refined than a standard trainer but practical enough for everyday use.
Trackwear gets softer
The apparel carries the same idea into clothing. adidas track tops and track pants are reworked with wraparound cuts, softer fabrics and more fluid proportions. The lineup includes layering T shirts, wrap skirts and knit wrap cardigans. It also features sheer sleeveless bodysuits, sheer leggings and polar fleece half zip hoodies.
These pieces show how JENNIE approaches sportswear. She does not remove its performance influence. Instead, she softens it through drape, layering and ballet inspired styling. The wrap skirt is a strong example. It brings a dance reference to a piece that can be layered over leggings, shorts or trousers. The knit cardigan adds polish and makes the collection feel more relaxed than a standard trackwear release. The sheer bodysuits and leggings bring a fashion focused edge. They are designed for styling rather than training. Track pieces and fleece hoodies keep the range connected to adidas sportswear heritage.
Accessories complete the look
Accessories carry the ballet influence through the final details. High knit leg warmers and cut out socks complete the collection. Leg warmers have become a popular styling piece in recent seasons. JENNIE uses them in a cleaner and more controlled way. They work naturally with the Superstar SQ BALLET and the layered apparel.
The cut out socks add texture and shape to each outfit. They also help consumers personalise their styling. A shopper can wear the full collection or add one piece to an existing wardrobe. That flexibility strengthens the range. The sneakers, leg warmers and wrap cardigan can each make a simple outfit feel more considered.
Why it matters
adidas Originals and JENNIE Redefine the Superstar Through Functional Grace shows how celebrity partnerships are changing. JENNIE is not only the face of the collection. She is a co designer with a clear creative perspective. The collection also gives adidas a fresh way to update one of its biggest heritage silhouettes. The Superstar SQ BALLET keeps the model culturally relevant while opening it to a fashion focused audience. The adidas Originals by JENNIE FW26 collection is now available through select adidas stores, the CONFIRMED app, adidas.com/JENNIE and selected retailers.
