adidas has opened three stores across Sarawak and Sabah in one month with LEA Group of Companies, expanding the range of formats it offers in East Malaysia. The additions cover Originals, a hybrid concept and a factory outlet.
In its company update, adidas identifies its first Originals concept store in Sibu, its first hybrid store in East Malaysia in Sarawak and its first factory outlet in the region at 1Borneo Hypermall in Sabah.
The three formats give the expansion a different purpose from a single flagship launch. Originals establishes a dedicated setting for that part of the brand, while the hybrid and outlet formats add other ways for local shoppers to access the range.
adidas says the partnership combines LEA Group’s local market knowledge with its own brand reach. Together, the openings make East Malaysia a site for several retail concepts within one short rollout.
