adidas welcomed FC Bayern Legends to its World of Sport campus in Herzogenaurach, turning a long running club partnership into a day of football, storytelling and employee participation. The visit brought 17 former Bayern players together with adidas staff around the club’s current home, away, third and Wiesn jersey programs.
Legends return to campus
Giovane Élber, Roy Makaay and Javi Martínez joined a stage conversation focused on their playing careers. The mix of personalities gave adidas a way to connect football history with a product partnership that still sits at the center of Bayern’s identity.
The activation went beyond a photo opportunity. Employees, families and friends met the players, collected autographs and watched the visitors take part in campus activities. That approach matters because sportswear partnerships increasingly need to create real community moments, not simply place a crest on a shirt.
Four kits, one match
The day ended with a 7v7 tournament at the Adi Dassler Stadium. Four teams represented the new Bayern home, away, third and Wiesn jerseys, giving employees the chance to play alongside and against former professionals.
For adidas, the setup turns a multi kit calendar into an experience people can take part in. That is a useful model for football apparel, where clubs now release more looks across a season and need each one to carry a distinct cultural purpose.
Football beyond match day
The event also included a night padel session, placing the players in the wider sport environment of the adidas campus. It is a small detail, but it reflects how football brands are building lifestyle value around the game rather than treating the ninety minutes as the full story.
For Bayern fans and kit collectors, the visit reinforces the value of continuity in a partnership. Heritage players can give a new shirt immediate context, while an employer campus becomes a useful stage for showing how a brand lives its football commitments away from the retail floor.
