The North Face has promoted a second collection with Aimé Leon Dore that includes an approach-shoe story alongside fleece rugbies and a ballistic vest.
The brand's LinkedIn post points to a Verto model in an earthy green, black, brown and yellow palette, described as reinforced with GORE-TEX. The post also references a Base Camp Mule with a rubber shell and Casentino-wool lining.
The footwear angle matters because approach shoes have been moving from a specialist mountain category into fashion-facing outdoor collaborations. The North Face's current Verto product line is built for climbing approaches and hiking, with a Vibram Megagrip outsole, a stability shank and a rock plate. That technical foundation gives the collaboration a performance reference rather than treating it as a colourway alone.
