Air Jordan 6 Infrared Salesman: The February 14 Release Explained
The 2026 release brings a shelved 1999 sample into production with revised proportions and expanded Infrared detailing.

The Air Jordan 6 Infrared “Salesman” was scheduled for February 14, 2026, on Nike.com and at selected retailers. Its reference point is a 1999 sample that appeared in a seasonal preview catalog but never reached production.
A sample becomes a retail release
The design spreads Infrared across more of the midsole than familiar versions of the shoe. Black nubuck, visible heel Air cushioning and a Dynamic Fit inner sleeve retain the silhouette’s basketball construction.
For the Air Jordan 6’s 35th anniversary, Jordan Brand also revised the internal bootie to bring the toe shape closer to the 1991 original. The tongue rises by 2mm, a change the company ties to Michael Jordan’s game-worn pairs.
Sample text inside the collar, a factory-style hangtag and packaging reference the shoe’s earlier life as a product shown to retail buyers. An accompanying Infrared apparel offering and other footwear extended the release beyond the AJ6.
