BIRKENSTOCK Opens Seventh Japan Concept Store in Ginza

The opening adds to BIRKENSTOCK’s retail presence in Japan while giving its signature cork a central role in the store design. The ground floor draws on Ginza’s Noh theatre tradition, translating movement and pauses into a winding route through the space. Angled cork walls reveal footwear gradually as shoppers move through the store.

Natural materials carry through both floors, with Japanese fir shelving and blue accents on the staircase. The design connects the German brand’s material vocabulary with the cultural history of its Tokyo neighbourhood.

Birkenstock Japan’s release gives the opening date as November 3, 2026. The store is at Matsuoka Ginza Building, 3-3-9 Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo, and opens daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
