Canali is spotlighting the construction details behind the Nuvola sneaker as part of its SS26 campaign, bringing its tailoring heritage directly into the footwear category. The Nuvola is part of the wider Nuvola Project, introduced in March 2026, which applies the brand’s lightness and comfort philosophy across both apparel and footwear.
Construction Over Convention
Where most sneakers rely on adhesive bonding, the Nuvola uses stitched assembly throughout. Seams follow the shoe’s natural structure, giving the upper a softer break-in and more flexible fit from the first wear. The approach mirrors how Canali approaches its suiting construction, structure achieved through technique, not rigidity.
Sartorial Details
The Freccia motif, Canali’s signature arrow shaped graphic mark, used across its tailoring and outerwear , is integrated discreetly into the quarter panel. Hand painted piping, applied in three sequential steps before assembly, finishes each upper component individually, a process that follows high tailoring practice more closely than standard footwear production.
Pricing and Availability
The Nuvola sneaker is available now on Canali.com and at selected stores, priced from $695. It is handmade in Italy across suede, deerskin, sheepskin, and leather constructions.
