Dsquared2 has launched the DC-642, a new sneaker silhouette now available on Dsquared2.com and at selected stores worldwide. The model arrives as a multi-colorway drop across suede, leather, and denim constructions. Pricing starts from €350.
The design language
The DC-642 is built on a low profile runner shape with contrasting side panels, a velcro strap across the midfoot, and a thin gum rubber outsole with embossed detailing. Additionally, each colorway pairs mixed materials, suede, calf leather, and denim, against a clean base. There are also hiking style double lace sets and a maple leaf detail on the heel. The tongue carries a branded Dsquared2 patch. “Dean” and “Dan” lettering on the heel nods to founders Dean and Dan Caten.
Color and Pantone
The campaign imagery references Pantone 15-1816 Peony for at least one colorway. It pairs pink paneling with yellow accents and a white base. The denim variation adds chambray overlays on the lateral panel. Furthermore, the collection presents the DC-642 across a wide color range. This signals it as a catalog staple rather than a limited proposition.
Packaging and positioning
The shoe ships in a branded blue box printed with a jet silhouette marked “DC-642,” a direct visual callback to the in flight concept the brand used to frame the launch. The DC-642 sits within Dsquared2’s broader push to establish a recognizable sneaker identity in the luxury trainer market, a segment where the label has historically been less defined than in denim and tailoring.
