Nike Basketball is rebuilding its footwear framework around Flight, Force and Uptempo, using movement and underfoot preference to guide shoe selection. The three names return as performance builds, with G.T. Flight, G.T. Force and G.T. Uptempo as their lead expressions.
In its November 5 announcement, Nike connects Flight with explosive lift, Force with dynamic power and Uptempo with reactive speed. The approach gives its basketball assortment a shared structure across general performance and signature models.
G.T. Flight combines a full-length Zoom Strobel with Cushlon 3.0 foam. G.T. Force, offered in high- and low-top versions, uses ZoomX 3.0 and a synthetic containment upper. G.T. Uptempo sits closer to the floor, pairing ZoomX 3.0 with Air Zoom cushioning and engineered mesh. These are Nike’s design descriptions.
The framework also informs athlete signatures: Nike aligns LeBron James and Ja Morant with Flight, A’ja Wilson and Giannis Antetokounmpo with Force, and Devin Booker, Caitlin Clark, Kevin Durant and Sabrina Ionescu with Uptempo.
