PUMA has elected Dennis Tao, ANTA Sports’ head of M&A and capital markets, as chair of its Supervisory Board. The appointment took effect on October 21, the same day a court appointed Tao and Jeanne Huang to the board. Both appointments run until PUMA’s annual general meeting in May 2027, according to the company’s announcement.
Tao succeeds Héloïse Temple-Boyer, whose tenure ended after ANTA completed its purchase of Artémis SAS’s PUMA stake earlier this month. Jean-Marc Duplaix’s term as deputy chair and audit committee chair also concluded with the transaction. Footwear previously reported on ANTA becoming PUMA’s largest shareholder.
Tao has led M&A and capital markets at ANTA and served on the Amer Sports board from 2019 to 2026. Huang is CEO of PIPA International, which connects global creative talent with ANTA Group brands. She previously served as an ANTA senior vice-president overseeing product creation, marketing and retail operations, after more than two decades in senior regional and global roles at Nike.
The appointments put two executives with ANTA and Nike experience on PUMA’s supervisory board as the shareholder transition moves into a new governance phase. Tao’s background is in transactions and capital markets; Huang’s includes product, marketing and retail leadership.
