Skechers has launched the AERO Razor, a performance running shoe positioned as a fast daily trainer and race day option in the U.S. and available now through skechers.com and select running retailers. The shoe draws a direct line from the award winning Razor 3 of 2018, bringing that platform into the brand’s AERO collection with updated foam and plate technology.
Building on the Razor legacy
The Razor series built a strong reputation in the specialty running market, and the AERO Razor is a significant step up in performance intent. Skechers moves the model firmly into the workout and racing shoe category, a departure from the more versatile, daily trainer positioning of earlier Razor versions.

A deliberate non carbon play
At $140, the AERO Razor sits well below the $250–$300 range of most carbon super shoes. The nylon forefoot plate provides propulsion and forward geometry without the rigidity that carbon plates impose on many runners’ strides, a positioning move that targets the large middle tier of performance runners who want speed without committing to carbon.
Where it fits in the market
The performance running footwear segment has been crowded since the carbon plate boom, and brands are now carving out space in the tier just below super shoes. Skechers’ $140 price point and specialist retail push signal a bid to hold and grow share in that sub carbon performance category, where accessible price and verified tech credentials carry more weight than heritage alone.
The AERO Razor is available now globally, with men’s and women’s versions offered across multiple colorways through skechers.com and running specialty accounts.
