adidas Originals and Pharrell Williams are not easing off the gas with VIRGINIA.
With the latest Triple White edition of the Adistar Jellyfish, they expand one of the most distinctive lines in modern footwear while putting college football star Jeremiah Smith at the centre of the story.
Design and colour/details
The VIRGINIA Adistar Jellyfish reworks the adidas Adistar into a sculptural lifestyle shoe.
Its exaggerated wave-like midsole mimics a floating jellyfish and turns the silhouette into a piece of design as much as a product. In the new Triple
White colourway, that architecture is on full display. Removing bold colour lets every curve, layer and structural element stand out.
A layered mesh upper sits beneath an exoskeletal cage, adding depth and movement across the shoe. The midsole’s flowing shape remains the visual anchor.
A glow-in-the-dark finish completes the package, giving the shoe a different kind of presence when the lights drop. The result is a clean, monochrome take that still feels hyper-expressive.
Release date, price, access
The VIRGINIA Adistar Jellyfish Triple White retails for 300 USD.
It will be available globally on August 1, 2026 via the adidas CONFIRMED app and at select retailers. Signups open July 27, 2026, giving fans a clear window to register before launch.
This approach mirrors earlier Jellyfish drops tight sign-up periods, then a worldwide release through controlled channels.
The structure keeps energy high while still giving serious collectors and everyday buyers a fair path to the product.
Performance, campaign and on-foot focus
Though the Jellyfish lives firmly in the lifestyle lane, it still sits on performance-rooted Adistar tooling.
Pharrell’s VIRGINIA line layers sculptural design and narrative onto that base, pushing adidas heritage into a more experimental space.
The Triple White version sits at the intersection of running DNA and fashion-forward construction, with the glow feature adding a playful twist.
For the campaign, adidas and Pharrell tap Jeremiah Smith, one of college football’s biggest prospects and an adidas athlete.
Smith embodies a new generation that moves easily between sport and culture. His role in the visuals positions the Jellyfish as part of that crossover: a shoe built for people who care about performance stories and aesthetic impact in equal measure.
Why this matters for VIRGINIA and footwear
Since its debut, the VIRGINIA Adistar Jellyfish has become a defining expression of Pharrell’s creative vision at adidas.
It earned Footwear News’ 2025 Shoe of the Year and quickly turned into a franchise sneaker rather than a one-off collaboration. Each new colourway has reinforced the silhouette’s status as a global object of interest among sneaker fans.
For players, fans and collectors, adidas Originals and Pharrell Williams Expand the Virginia Adistar Jellyfish Line With Triple White signals another important step.
Triple White strips the shoe back to its lines and structure, highlighting the design itself while adding just enough tech theatre with the glow finish.
Paired with Jeremiah Smith’s campaign role and a familiar CONFIRMED rollout, the drop shows that VIRGINIA is still evolving using adidas heritage as a base, then pushing it into a world built around experimentation, cultural credibility and bold, hyperbolic design.
