Francesco Russo opened his first ever boutique in Milan on April 14, 2026, located at Via Bagutta 14 in the heart of the city’s Quadrilatero della Moda, the fashion district bordered by Via Montenapoleone, Via della Spiga, and Via Sant’Andrea. The opening marks a significant step for the independent luxury footwear brand, which has operated exclusively through wholesale and e commerce since its founding in 2014.
The Designer
Francesco Russo, born in Puglia, spent more than two decades at some of the most prestigious footwear addresses in luxury fashion before launching his own brand. His career took him from Costume National and Miu Miu in Milan to Yves Saint Laurent in Paris, where he created the iconic Tribute sandal and Cage boot during Stefano Pilati’s tenure, and later to Sergio Rossi, where he served as creative director. He founded his eponymous brand in 2014, building it around handcrafted, Made in Italy luxury shoes defined by architectural precision, refined materials, and a design language informed by classical culture.
The Boutique
The boutique at Via Bagutta 14 was designed by Studio Dini Cataldi, translating the brand’s aesthetic sensibility into a physical retail environment. Via Bagutta is in the Quadrilatero, one block from Via Montenapoleone, putting the store in Milan’s most concentrated luxury retail corridor. The opening is part of a broader wave of new boutique launches in the area during April 2026, alongside first openings from Agnona, Rimowa, and Moynat.
The Collection
Russo’s current collection spans handcrafted heeled sandals, t-strap styles in kid leather, crocheted two tone Mary Janes, and sculptural footwear rooted in the brand’s signature craft first approach and Made in Italy production. The boutique gives Russo a direct retail presence to present the full collection to a luxury Milan consumer without the editorial filter of a wholesale partner.
