Skechers opened its first flagship store in Copenhagen on April 9, a 700 square meter destination at Amagertorv 11 in the heart of the Danish capital, adding a premium retail format to a market where the brand already operates 27 locations nationwide. The store brings Skechers’ full performance and lifestyle offer under one roof for the first time in Denmark, including categories and technologies not previously stocked at the brand’s existing Copenhagen concept stores.
The Store Design
The interior design reinterprets mid century aesthetics through advanced digital LED displays, Copenhagen themed graphics, and a large Skechers Slip ins® sculptural installation. A dedicated performance area presents the brand’s sport and running innovations in a gallery format, covering running, golf, court, basketball, and outdoor footwear. A children’s section, apparel, and accessories, including ranges debuting in Denmark for the first time, round out the offer.

Technologies on Show
The store places particular focus on Skechers Hands Free Slip ins®, Hyper Burst®, Fit Knit® Technology, Glide Step® Technology, Max Cushioning®, and Memory Foam® across both lifestyle and performance categories. The concentration of proprietary technologies in a single flagship format reflects how Skechers has positioned its owned retail as an education and experience channel rather than a pure sales environment.
Nordic growth
Michael Greenberg, President of Skechers, said, “Skechers has seen remarkable growth in the Nordic region, particularly in Denmark.” The Amagertorv flagship joins four existing Copenhagen concept stores as the brand’s most comprehensive retail format in the market to date. The opening is part of a broader European DTC expansion push Skechers has maintained through 2025 and into 2026.
