adidas has unveiled its new squat proof Optime collection for SS25, fronted by Antonela Roccuzzo, as a gym first training range designed to transition into everyday wear. The collection will be distributed through selected retail and adidas.com.
A Training Led Play
Optime is positioned as a direct response to ‘gymtimidation,’ with adidas citing research it commissioned across 4,868 people aged 18–25 in multiple markets to frame apparel confidence as a real barrier in training. adidas also links the collection to the surge in strength training among next-generation athletes, treating the range as a performance solution rather than a fashion capsule.
The Optime Collection
adidas centres Optime on a squat proof coverage claim for strength training, built around its adimove material and related brand technologies. The brand highlights a 4 inch short, a 5 inch short, and a 7/8 legging in a ‘pure ruby’ colourway as key items in the lineup.

Materials and Tech
adidas highlights ‘ADIMOVE 2.0 and Lycra Sport material’ for squat proof coverage, 4 way stretch, and shape retention during lower body training. It also calls out CLIMACOOL for sweat wicking and cooling, plus construction details including a strategically placed side panel, a high waistband, and a secure side stash pocket for essentials.
The Campaign
The brand says this marks Roccuzzo’s first appearance with adidas Training, and it frames her connection to sport through her passion for training. adidas adds that she joins other partners including CrossFit athlete Laura Horvath and fitness and movement coach Julie ‘Jaws’ Nelson, who adidas says helped test the collection.
Aimee Arana, adidas Global General Manager Sportswear And Training said in a statement that “It’s our continued ambition at adidas Training to support all our athletes in realising their strength and that fundamentally begins and ends with the products we create. Knowing that strength training continues to be the fastest growing workout type amongst the next generation, we set out to design apparel – such as the squat-proof Optime – that will allow the training community to reach their goals with confidence. We are proud, and excited, to add another strength-tailored solution – unveiled by our latest adidas Training partner Antonela Roccuzzo – to our portfolio, so we can continue to ensure our athletes have the best support and experience when working out. With so much more still to come for the Optime range, watch this space!”
Conclusion
For consumers, Optime is adidas putting a specific product claim, squat proof coverage, at the center of a broader strength narrative, with materials, cooling, and fit details used to back up performance in the weight room and beyond.
