Balenciaga introduces the Triple S.2 for 2026, revisiting the sneaker first released in 2017 that shaped contemporary footwear culture and became one of the House’s most recognizable designs. Under the direction of Pierpaolo Piccioli, the fashion house reworks the outsized silhouette while preserving its defining stacked sole structure and coded graphic details.
Triple S.2 Updates
The Triple S.2 retains the stacked, splayed outsole that defined the first model, constructed as a composite of three distinct tread directions offering different traction and wear patterns. The configuration appears as if sections from different shoes were peeled away and sculpturally consolidated into a single form, anchoring the sneaker’s bulky yet refined profile.
Each pair combines 68 individual pieces, resulting in an elongated, streamlined silhouette that nods to the aerodynamics of developing sport technology. Balenciaga updates key coded elements from the permanent line, a 3B Sport emblem appears at the top edge of the toe alongside the Balenciaga logo, divergent graphics appear debossed along the sides, and on the back of each heel near the printed shoe size, the brand retains a signature detail established with the first Triple S.
Bicolor laces return, crossing over a tongue stamped with a new Triple S.2 emblem, connecting the new iteration to its origin while defining a distinct identity.
Colorways and In store experience
The Triple S.2 comes in multiple colorways, including black, greyscale, greyscale with green accents, blue yellow, black white, eggshell tones, and light greyscale with pink highlights. A gradient version is also available for $1,090.
To mark the launch, select Balenciaga stores present a curated display tracing the line’s development, including an original Triple S sole, an archival sneaker, the new Triple S.2 sole, and the completed Triple S.2 model. Participating locations also provide a custom dustbag embroidery service, extending the release experience beyond the product itself.
