Global Fashion Agenda (GFA) and Visa launched Visa Young Creators: Recycle the Runway on March 2, 2026, a Europe focused competition that backs emerging circular fashion designers with a combined prize pool of EUR 110,000 and access to the Global Fashion Summit in Copenhagen. Applications closed February 28, with 15 winners set to be announced on April 9 and the grand prize awarded at the Summit on May 6.

How the Prize is Structured

The programme selects 15 winners in total. Ten receive a share of EUR 50,000 to invest in their businesses. Four receive EUR 10,000 each, plus mentorship, summit access, and co creation pairings with leading solution providers. One grand prize winner takes EUR 20,000 on top of all other benefits. The jury includes representatives from Vogue, eBay, the British Fashion Council, and Visa Europe.

Who can Apply

The programme targets Europe based business owners registered for at least one year, working across upcycling, textiles, accessories, footwear, or apparel. Eligible circular activities include resell, repair, rental, refill, return, and redistribute, a deliberately broad scope designed to capture both product and service based circular models. Shortlisted finalists must be available to attend the Global Fashion Summit on May 6–7 in Copenhagen.

The GFA and Visa Rationale

Federica Marchionni, CEO, Global Fashion Agenda, said, “Through Recycle the Runway, we are proud to support the next generation of creators who are reimagining how fashion is designed, produced, and experienced. This initiative helps turn circular ideas into viable businesses that can shape a more regenerative future for fashion. By connecting creative talent with funding, mentorship, and industry platforms, GFA keeps accelerating the transition towards a more circular fashion system.”
