    Firstly, it’s important to understand the two key measurements associated with high heels – the heel height and the platform height. The heel height is measured at the outsole from the middle of the heel to the sole, while the platform height is measured at the outsole from the foot bed to the sole.

    To measure the heel height, you will need a flat surface, a shoe, and a ruler or tape measure. Place your shoe on the flat surface, ensuring it is stable. Then, take your ruler or tape measure and place one end just above the heel cap. Extend the ruler upwards towards the top of the shoe, ending your measurement at the highest point on the back of the heel. The length you get between the heel cap and the highest point on your heel is the heel height.

    If you wish to include the heel cap in your measurement, you can do so to get a better idea of the overall heel height. However, remember that the actual heel begins just above the heel cap.

    It’s also worth noting that the ideal maximum heel height varies between individuals, typically ranging between 7 to 9 centimeters. The larger your foot size, the higher the heel you can safely wear. However, doctors generally advise against wearing heels higher than 4 centimeters on a daily basis for health reasons.

    In addition to measuring the heel height, you may also want to measure the platform height. This is done by measuring from the foot bed to the sole at the outsole.

    Remember, wearing high heels can alter your posture and walking style, giving an illusion of wider hips. However, they do not increase hip size. It’s essential to choose a heel height that is comfortable and suitable for your needs, whether it’s for a special event or everyday wear.

    Easy Spirit, a renowned women’s comfort footwear brand, has joined forces with fitness icon Denise Austin to introduce their first-ever pickleball shoe, specifically designed for women. Known for its commitment to making everyday life lighter and softer for its customers, Easy Spirit is now extending its innovative comfort solutions to the court.

    The newly launched Easy Spirit x Denise Austin Dilli court shoe is a testament to the brand’s dedication to comfort and durability. The shoe features a shock-absorbing cushioned footbed, a reinforced stitched forefoot, and a traction-dimpled outsole, providing excellent support for the stop-and-go movements typical in pickleball.     The Dilli sneaker is part of Austin’s fall collaboration capsule with Easy Spirit, launching this July. The collection features high to low impact active footwear, aiming to motivate women through comfort and inspire them to lead an active and healthy lifestyle.

Here’s a comprehensive guide on how to break in and stretch your cowboy boots for a comfortable fit.

    Firstly, it’s important to remember that cowboy boots should fit snugly but not too tightly. They should hug your feet without causing discomfort. If your boots are pinching your toes or squeezing the sides of your feet, consider going up half a size or opting for a wide fit to accommodate foot expansion and swelling, especially if you spend long hours standing or walking.

    One of the most effective ways to break in cowboy boots is by wearing them around the house with thick socks. This extra padding will gently stretch out the leather. The more you wear your boots this way, the quicker they will stretch. However, this process may take a week or more.

    For those who prefer a non-intrusive method, freezing your boots can also help. Fill a sealable bag with water and place it in the toe box of your boot. Leave the boots in the freezer overnight. As the water freezes and expands, it will stretch out the boots without harming the leather.

    Lastly, conditioning your cowboy boots can soften the leather, allowing it to stretch and conform to your foot during wear. Massage a good boot cream into the leather, let it dry, then wear the boots for a few hours.

    Melissa’s commitment to sustainability goes beyond its production process. The brand’s shoes are vegan and cruelty-free, with no animal components or testing involved. In 2021, Melissa introduced new product packaging developed with 100% recyclable materials, resulting in 68% less CO2eq emission during its production process.
