COLE HAAN is closing out 2025 by rebooting one of its most important sneakers, unveiling GrandPrø Tennis 2.0 as a lighter, more streamlined evolution of the court shoe that first pushed the brand into the sneaker game a decade ago. With a new FeatherFeel Cushioning Platform™, the update is built for movement, momentum, and the fast pace of modern city life.
A decade after the original GrandPrø
When COLE HAAN introduced the original GrandPrø Tennis in 2016, it reimagined the classic leather court sneaker with a radically lightweight build that stripped bulk while boosting flexibility, rebound, and all-day comfort. That launch effectively opened the door to sneakers as COLE HAAN’s fastest-growing category, spanning casual, performance, and emerging lifestyle silhouettes.
Scott Patt, Chief Creative Officer at COLE HAAN, said, “GrandPrø Tennis was a breakthrough for us 10 years ago. It proved that a classic court sneaker could be unbelievably light and comfortable without losing its style or substance.” He added, “With GrandPrø Tennis 2.0, we’ve taken that idea even further. It’s more streamlined and engineered to feel unthinkably light and incredibly easy to wear.”
FeatherFeel Cushioning Platform: lighter underfoot
At the center of GrandPrø Tennis 2.0 is FeatherFeel Cushioning Platform™, described as COLE HAAN’s newest and lightest cushioning platform to date. By rebalancing foam density, refining construction, and selectively removing unnecessary components, the 360˚ system delivers a lighter, more energetic feel underfoot.
Crucially, COLE HAAN keeps a full rubber outsole in the mix, aiming to balance that airy ride with durability and dependable traction for everyday wear across commutes, weekends, and travel. The update is positioned as an answer to customers who refuse to trade off comfort for style—or vice versa.
Built for comfort, style, and “Whatever comes Next.”
Krissie Millan, Chief Marketing Officer at COLE HAAN, said, “GrandPrø Tennis 2.0 was shaped by what we’ve heard from our customers over the years.” She frames the sneaker as a go-to for a new year where people want shoes that “keep up and feel easy,” ready for whatever is on the schedule.
To mark the ten-year milestone, the first drop arrives in classic white leather with a green heel-tab and limited-edition anniversary branding, followed by additional colorways in ivory, gold, and black. The global launch campaign, titled “Feel Lighter Than Ever,” spotlights the sneaker’s refined construction and everyday versatility, from desk to dinner to long weekends.
A growing sneaker engine for Cole Haan
More than a simple refresh, GrandPrø Tennis 2.0 signals COLE HAAN’s momentum in the global sneaker market, where sneakers now account for over 35% of the brand’s global footwear sales. The company points to growth across casual, performance, and new lifestyle categories, with further expansion planned into 2026.
The GrandPrø Tennis 2.0 assortment is priced from $150–170 and is available globally starting December 31, 2025, exclusively at colehaan.com and select COLE HAAN stores, with broader distribution to retail partners in February and additional color drops slated for March 2026.
Nearly 100 years of craft, now in sneaker form
With a heritage approaching 100 years, COLE HAAN has long positioned itself as a global American lifestyle brand serving always-connected, active professionals. Its design philosophy combines time-honored craftsmanship with modern innovation, creating styles meant to flex across work, workout, and weekend.
Available in more than 100 countries, the brand’s mission is to inspire customers to live “extraordinary lives,” with GrandPrø Tennis 2.0 now positioned as a key sneaker expression of that mission. The refresh highlights how legacy footwear houses are shifting towards lighter platforms and more versatile silhouettes to remain competitive with younger, sneaker-native brands.
