New Balance has unveiled the Made in USA 990v7, setting a November 6 global release and a suggested price of $200. The October 22 announcement introduces the seventh version of a franchise first launched in 1982.

The official release describes an upper combining pigskin suede, mesh, leather accents and synthetic suede details. The shoe uses a softer version of the FuelCell midsole from the 990v6, alongside ENCAP technology and a new TPU midfoot shank.

A running franchise with a wider audience

ROSALÍA, Josh Allen, Cooper Flagg and IU feature in the global campaign. Their involvement places music and sport alongside a model whose identity has expanded beyond its original running purpose.

New Balance says the sneaker will reach NewBalance.com and selected global retailers on November 6. Its Made in USA footwear contains domestic value of at least 70%; the company notes that this category represents a limited share of its US sales.

For the franchise, the update puts continuity and change in the same product. The familiar layered upper remains recognizable, while the midsole and support construction provide concrete points of difference for buyers comparing generations.
