Adidas Originals is using the Superstar’s Spring 2026 campaign to put the classic shell toe back at the center of its story. Meanwhile, Kendall Jenner and Jennie front a new ‘Hotel Superstar’ film alongside a cross genre cast. The rollout positions the Superstar as a timeless icon crossing music, fashion, sport, and film. It is presented rather than a retro only throwback.
Hotel Superstar story
The campaign plays out inside a fictional Hotel Superstar. It is narrated by Samuel L. Jackson as he searches the corridors for his missing pair of Superstars. Along the way, he encounters Jennie, Kendall Jenner, Lamine Yamal, Baby Keem, James Harden, Tyshawn Jones, and Olivia Dean. Each is styled in different takes on the shoe and Originals apparel. Annie Barrett, Vice President of Marketing, adidas Originals, said, “We always want to ensure we bring the crossover from sport and culture to life through our work authentically – from basketball where it was born, to skate, to fashion, to music to film and beyond.”
The New Celebrity Roster
For Kendall Jenner, this marks a formal return as a Superstar ambassador. This spotlights her as a key style figure for the franchise in 2026. Jennie continues her role as a global music face for the brand. Both women are presented as part of a multi generational, cross industry superstar lineup rather than isolated solo faces. The casting strategy leans into the idea that the sneaker now belongs equally to K pop, runway, street, and sport.
Product and Design
The campaign keeps the Superstar’s black and white base but adds stronger red accents across footwear and apparel. Men’s looks feature looser tracksuits, denim shorts, and jacquard jerseys. Meanwhile, the women’s range expands the Superstar Tracktop into pieces like the Equipment Blocking Red Jacket, faux leather, and crochet versions seen on Kendall Jenner. In close up shots, Jenner alternates between black croc style Superstars with a classic track jacket and white pairs styled with a red tracktop and bloomer shorts.
Rollout and access
Adidas Originals is rolling the Spring 2026 Superstar campaign out globally this season, backed by digital content, brand activations, and in person experiences. The latest Superstar styles featured in the film and stills are available now via adidas.com and Adidas Originals retail channels, with regional partners expected to follow as the campaign scales.
