Cizzle Brands Corporation has announced an exciting new milestone: CWENCH Hydration is now the official sport drink of the NHL’s Ottawa Senators. The three-year agreement marks a major move by CWENCH into the center of Canadian hockey culture and introduces the exclusive, limited-time “Powerplay Punch” flavor, set to launch with special Ottawa Senators-themed packaging.
Inside the Partnership and What It Delivers
As the official hydration partner of the Senators, CWENCH Hydration will become the only sports/isotonic drink sold in bottles, cans, or Tetra Pak at Canadian Tire Centre, the team’s Ottawa home arena, for all pre-season, regular season, and playoff games, as well as for Ottawa Black Bears lacrosse games. The partnership also extends to both Bell Sensplex and Richcraft Sensplex facilities, where it will fuel both hockey and community leagues throughout the season.
“The start of hockey season in Canada is a special time of year for hockey players, hockey fans of all ages, and for us at Cizzle Brands. So, it’s great to be announcing this deal with the Senators, our first official agreement with an NHL team,” said John Celenza, Cizzle Brands CEO. “CWENCH Hydration has reached a key level of maturity, with a particularly strong presence in Canada’s National Capital Region, which will only grow with the launch of Powerplay Punch. It is a pleasure to team up with the Ottawa Senators, for many exciting hockey seasons ahead.”
Powerplay Punch: The Team-Exclusive LTO Flavor
The deal launches with Powerplay Punch, a limited-time flavor created in collaboration with the Senators and featuring the team’s logo and colors. Retailers, including Sobeys, Healthy Planet, and Circle K in Ontario, are among the first committed to putting Powerplay Punch on shelves, making it easy for fans in Canada’s National Capital Region to get a taste of hockey’s latest favorite drink.
Robust Arena and Media Presence
CWENCH Hydration’s new agreement includes:
- LED displays and other branded messaging on the Canadian Tire Centre boards during select regular-season home games;
- Enhanced digital dasherboard placement is visible during every regional TSN broadcast.
- Pre-game warmup presenting sponsor (both in-venue and team social media);
- Exclusive sponsorship of the Spring and Summer Youth Leagues and Hockey Fest at Sensplex facilities; and
- Daily digital display ads inside both Sensplex complexes.
CWENCH will also be the presenting sponsor of the annual Hockey Fest at the Bell Capital Cup, one of the world’s largest and most prestigious youth hockey tournaments.
CWENCH’s Rapid Rise in the Hockey World
This move cements CWENCH Hydration’s grip on the Canadian hockey market, having already achieved naming rights at CWENCH Centre, a Canlan Sports Community, and a major deal as USA Hockey’s Official Hydration Partner. The brand is now present in over 4,400 retail locations across North America and Europe, and is a fixture in hockey broadcasts, community events, and tournaments.
Notable athlete ambassadors and supporters include Cole Caufield, Nathan MacKinnon, and influencer Coach Chippy, all of whom help drive CWENCH’s energy and sports nutrition message.
The Cizzle and CWENCH Story
Cizzle Brands Corporation also produces Spoken Nutrition, a premium line of athlete-ready nutraceuticals, and is committed to setting new standards for “clean” sports drinks and supplements. All CWENCH Hydration products are NSF Certified for Sport and developed via collaboration with elite athletes.
More Than a Drink, A Community Movement
This partnership links the CWENCH brand with not just elite hockey, but grassroots youth development, wellness, and the high-energy, big-stage culture that comes with Canada’s favorite game. With a focus on inclusivity and youth leagues, CWENCH sets out to be both the drink of tomorrow’s stars and today’s fans.
