Miami is about to get a major dose of Italian high fashion history, as Dolce&Gabbana brings its blockbuster exhibition “From the Heart to the Hands”: Dolce&Gabbana to ICA Miami, featuring over 300 pieces from the house’s archives and new collections.
From Paris and Rome to Miami
After drawing large crowds in Paris, Rome, and Milan, From the Heart to the Hands: Dolce&Gabbana will next be on view at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami, from February 6 to June 14, 2026. The Miami stop has been newly conceived in dialogue with ICA Miami’s expanded home, positioning the museum as a stage for contemporary visual culture with fashion at the center.
Over 300 looks, from archives to new collections
The exhibition brings together more than 300 pieces, spanning archival icons and recent runway creations, many of which are shown publicly together for the first time. Visitors can expect Alta Moda, Alta Sartoria, and Alta Gioielleria looks, along with accessories and one-of-a-kind couture, presented as sculptural objects rather than just garments.
Organized into a series of immersive rooms, the show highlights recurring themes in Dolce&Gabbana’s work: regional traditions, baroque ornament, sacred and theatrical references, and the sensual tailoring that has defined the house since 1985. Each space reveals a different facet of the designers’ vision, from fantasy ballgowns to sharply cut menswear.
A multisensory journey through Italian craft
“From the Heart to the Hands” is designed as a multisensory journey, weaving together fashion, architecture, opera, ballet, folklore, and the enduring spirit of the dolce vita. Set design by Agence Galuchat amplifies this feeling, with dramatic scenography that moves between intimate salons and monumental, cinematic spaces.
Alongside the garments, works by visual artists including Quayola, Alberto Maria Colombo, Obvious, Vittorio Bonapace, and Felice Limosani appear in dialogue with Dolce&Gabbana’s designs. Their contributions underscore the exchange between contemporary art, digital experimentation, and traditional Italian craftsmanship at the heart of the exhibition.
Curated for a museum, produced for a global tour
The ICA Miami presentation is curated by fashion historian Florence Müller, whose past projects include blockbuster couture and luxury retrospectives in Paris and the United States. The exhibition is produced by IMG, which is overseeing its international tour across major cultural capitals.
At ICA Miami, “From the Heart to the Hands” runs from February 6 to June 14, 2026, with hours listed as 10:00 am to 7:30 pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday, and 10:00 am to 10:30 pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. While general museum admission is free, timed entry tickets for the exhibition are managed separately via the official exhibition site.
