Maison Valentino is deepening its digital transformation with a new partnership with Centric Software, adopting Centric PLM™ and Centric Visual Boards™ to streamline product development, improve collaboration, and accelerate time-to-market across its global luxury portfolio. The move is designed to create a single source of truth for data, supporting more agile, efficient, and insight-driven decision-making from concept to showroom.
Valentino’s next chapter in digital transformation
Founded in Rome in 1960 by Valentino Garavani and Giancarlo Giammetti, Maison Valentino has grown into one of the most established Italian couture houses, with collections spanning Haute Couture, women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, Valentino Garavani accessories, Valentino eyewear, and Valentino Beauty by L’Oréal. Today, the brand has a presence in over 90 countries, with more than 500 points of sale and over 230 directly operated boutiques worldwide.
As part of a broader digital strategy, Valentino sought a single, actionable data hub to support its complex product universe. The goal was to unify and streamline product development, costing, and pricing while giving teams faster access to accurate information across categories and regions.
Why Valentino chose Centric PLM
“We chose Centric PLM because it offers advanced, category-specific capabilities for all our product lines including apparel and accessories and has a proven track record with global luxury brands,” Paolo Brichese, Group CFO at Valentino SpA, said. He also added, “Centric Software’s clear deployment methodology and seamless integration with our existing systems made it the strongest choice for Valentino.”
Centric PLM will engage more than 400+ global users across strategic functions, centralizing product-related workflows from ideation through sourcing and manufacturing. By consolidating data into one platform, Valentino aims to reduce manual work, cut errors, and help teams respond faster to both creative direction and market shifts.
Visual Boards to power assortments and showrooms
Building on Centric PLM, Valentino will also implement Centric Visual Boards, a visually driven assortment-management solution that connects real-time product, financial, and sales data directly into the showroom environment. This allows merchandising, design, sales, and leadership teams to align around assortments using live, data-rich visuals rather than static spreadsheets or slide decks.
“Centric Visual Boards will enhance both internal presentations and buyer-facing content, driving stronger alignment across assortments and creative direction,” Brichese said. “The partnership with Centric Software marks a new chapter of digital transformation for Valentino…We have already established a highly collaborative and trusted relationship with the Centric team, who are ensuring a smooth implementation and rapid time to value,” he added.
Centric Software’s AI-powered platform
From its headquarters in Silicon Valley, Centric Software® provides an AI-enabled platform that supports retailers, brands, and manufacturers from product concept to commercialization. Its solutions are designed for fashion, luxury, footwear, outdoor, home, cosmetics & personal care, and multi-category retail, enabling teams to plan, design, develop, source, comply, buy, make, price, allocate, assort, sell, and replenish products.
According to Centric Software, Centric PLM™ can deliver up to a 50% improvement in productivity and a 60% decrease in time to market by optimizing execution from ideation to manufacture. Complementary solutions include Centric Planning™, which can boost margins by up to 110%; Centric Pricing & Inventory™, which can increase revenues by up to 18%; and Centric Market Intelligence™, which can drive up to a 12% increase in average initial price point.
A luxury partnership focused on innovation
“We are honored Valentino selected Centric Software and welcome them to the family of leading global luxury brands leveraging Centric solutions to power digital transformation,” Fabrice Canonge, CEO of Centric Software, said. He added that “Valentino’s creative spirit and high standards of excellence will inspire continuous innovation.”
