This move not only marks a major milestone for Parmigiano Reggiano’s North American expansion but also sets a new precedent as the brand brings its heritage and taste directly to NFL fans, MetLife Stadium, and millions of American consumers.

Custom Branding, Culinary Integration, and Stadium Debuts

To commemorate the partnership, QNY Creative designed a unique cheese-branded Jets helmet, revealed at the Specialty Food Association’s Fancy Food Show in New York, uniting Italian culinary mastery with NFL gameday tradition in a viral social and design moment. Parmigiano Reggiano even debuted an official Jets-branded cheese wheel, blurring the line between food and merch for lucky fans and partners.

Inside MetLife Stadium, Parmigiano Reggiano will take center stage at club-level food destinations, including the Commissioner’s Club, Green Room, and Coaches Club. These premium areas will feature antipasto stations spotlighting Parmigiano Reggiano, live pasta bars using towering cheese wheels, and evolving “game-special” menus that highlight PDO-certified Parmigiano Reggiano in new fan-favorite dishes every week. Throughout the concourse, Nonna Fusco’s stands will serve as an add-on, extending the Italian classic from club to concourse.

Videoboard Content, In-Stadium Experiences, and Fan Giveaways

Beyond the food, the partnership brings a multimedia flavor boost to the NFL experience. Fans at MetLife will routinely see Parmigiano Reggiano featured on the videoboards during key “Say Cheese Cam” and “Cheesy Dance Cam” segments throughout the season. Custom cheese sampling activations are slated for the Tailgate Zone on October 19 and November 30, giving fans opportunities to taste, learn, and win. Parmigiano-forward prizes—including personalized cheese wheels—amplify the social reach and create lasting connections between the brand, the Jets, and U.S. food culture.

Influencer collaborations, out-of-home advertising across the Tri-State area, and digital campaigns will drive the expansion of Parmigiano Reggiano’s American footprint beyond the stadium’s walls and onto home tables everywhere.

The Consortium’s North American Ambitions

This sponsorship is a pivotal step in Parmigiano Reggiano’s ongoing U.S. growth strategy. The U.S. is now Parmigiano Reggiano’s largest export market, comprising 22.5% of its global sales and more than 16,000 tons shipped in 2024 alone. Nicola Bertinelli, President of the Parmigiano Reggiano Consortium, notes that “New York is the beating heart of Parmigiano Reggiano PDO in the USA,” and that a partnership with an American football franchise creates a deep, cross-cultural connection.

Parmigiano Reggiano’s PDO status is renowned for rigid quality controls and regional authenticity. All cheese is produced in Italy’s Parma, Reggio Emilia, Modena, and parts of Mantua and Bologna, made solely from raw milk, salt, and rennet, and aged a minimum of 12–36 months, entirely free of additives and lactose.
