In a move that redefines athletic identity for a new generation, the 2025 Nike x Martine Rose Sport collection places gamers at the center of the global sportswear conversation. Celebrating individuality, creativity, and the competitive spirit found in both esports and traditional athletics, the line marks a significant evolution in Nike and Rose’s influential, eight-year collaboration.

The collection blurs the boundaries between disciplines, presenting athletes not by status or physical prowess, but by skill and personality as digital heroes.

“Gaming is a new lens into how we view sport, and I want to help expand that lens,” said Martine Rose, explaining the project’s focus on elevating overlooked corners of culture through fashion.

Nike and Martine Rose tap into the nostalgia of 1990s LAN parties, using these grassroots gaming events as the aesthetic nucleus of the collection.

By fusing traditional sport motifs like football kits and ACG-inspired ski parkas with gaming-inspired prints, gradient washes, and relaxed silhouettes, the collection offers comfort, flexibility, and self-expression for today’s “connected athlete”.

Apparel highlights include:

  • Heavyweight, gradient-washed hoodies and fleece pants with zippered pockets and Martine Rose Swoosh branding

  • A water-repellent, sweat-wicking ski parka inspired by the 1990s Nike DNA archives

This marriage of performance and expressive design is underscored in the campaign’s visuals, where esports icons Ana, Billy Mitchell, Scarlett, SonicFox, and TenZ step into the spotlight as the new “digital athletes.”

Shox MR4 (A Footwear Icon for the Gaming Generation)

The keystone footwear piece, Martine Rose’s latest Shox MR4, stretches the lines of the classic Shox R4 into a futuristic mule silhouette. Featuring an elevated heel, squared-off toe, and hybrid status as both dress shoe and sneaker, the Shox MR4 embodies the collection’s attitude unconventional, expressive, and irreverent.

Two new colorways debut alongside the apparel: one in crisp white and another in metallic silver, both referencing the fusion of gaming and street aesthetics.
