Puma scales up for sustainable growth in France
Puma has announced plans to open a new 440,000-square-foot logistics center in Vendenheim, France, marking a major investment in its supply chain infrastructure to support continued growth in the region.
The facility, which represents the next phase of Puma’s partnership with ID Logistics, will transition operations from the existing site in Landersheim and is set for full completion at the start of 2026.
Strengthening Puma’s Supply Chain in France
For nearly a decade, ID Logistics has managed Puma’s French operations from Landersheim.
With rising demand and expanding e-commerce activity across Europe, the shift to the larger, more advanced site in Vendenheim is designed to strengthen Puma’s logistical performance and sustainability credentials.
Operations began transferring to the new center on November 3, 2025, with a gradual ramp-up planned over the coming months.
The move underscores Puma’s focus on developing scalable supply chain solutions that align with its business growth and environmental goals.
Régis Oberle, Head of Operations for France, Puma, emphasized the company’s continued investments in responsible logistics, she stated :
“This site illustrates our commitment to developing more environmentally friendly logistics and helps to make our activity compatible with our ambitions in terms of social and environmental responsibility.”
Expanding Capacity for Sustainable Growth
The Vendenheim center will feature 70,000 bins and nearly 100 robots to support dense, automated storage and optimize the speed and accuracy of order fulfillment.
The high level of automation powered by the Autostore system is designed to enhance ergonomics for employees while scaling capacity during peak retail periods.
Advanced Technology Integration
The site will leverage Reflex WMS (Warehouse Management System), seamlessly integrated with Puma’s SAP ERP platform.
This integration provides real-time data traceability and visibility across the supply chain, enabling faster decision-making and greater transparency from warehouse to consumer.
Through these digital tools and automation systems, Puma and ID Logistics aim to create a modernized logistics model capable of meeting sustainability standards and serving the brand’s growing customer base in France.
Deepening a Decade-Long Partnership
Building on nearly ten years of collaboration, the new Vendenheim center represents a deepening of trust and shared vision between Puma and ID Logistics.
The project highlights the companies’ joint commitment to innovation, operational excellence, and environmental responsibility.
Eric Hemar, Chairman of ID Logistics, described the development as a milestone in their partnership:
“With the new site in Vendenheim, we are taking a major step forward in our partnership with Puma. By combining the Autostore and a cutting-edge technology ecosystem, we are participating in a more agile, sustainable and future-oriented supply chain.”
Looking Ahead to 2026 and Beyond
As Puma continues to expand across Europe, the Vendenheim facility reflects both companies’ shared ambition to reshape logistics through innovation and sustainability delivering performance today while investing in the supply chain of tomorrow.
