Clarks is turning its comfort-first Cloudsteppers line into a full lifestyle brand with its first dedicated concept stores across Malaysia and the United States, anchored by a new 1,255 sq ft space at La Palmera mall in Corpus Christi, Texas. The rollout signals a bigger push into apparel, accessories, and immersive retail as Cloudsteppers evolves beyond its flip-flop roots and prepares for at least 10+ new locations across Asia and the US in 2026.
Cloudsteppers goes standalone
The new Cloudsteppers stores are Clarks’ first-ever standalone spaces for the ultra-light, comfort-focused line, positioned as calm, welcoming environments built around ease, softness, and movement. The concept shifts Cloudsteppers from a sub-line of shoes into a lifestyle proposition with head-to-toe outfitting, retail theatre, and discovery built into the store design.
In 2025, Clarks is opening three Cloudsteppers concept stores: two in Malaysia and one in Texas, before accelerating the format with 10+ additional locations planned across the US and Asia in 2026. The first lifestyle shop opened in Malaysia on November 5, 2025, followed by a second Malaysian site on November 7, 2025, with the Corpus Christi debut following in December 2025.
First US Cloudsteppers store at La Palmera
In the United States, the first Cloudsteppers store is opening at La Palmera in Corpus Christi, Texas, where the 1,255 sq ft space sits on the mall’s main level near the food court. The store officially debuts on December 15, 2025, bringing the standalone lifestyle concept to US shoppers for the first time.
Clarks chose Corpus Christi after research into local lifestyle, highlighting 80 miles of nearby beaches and a laid-back, coastal community that aligns with the brand’s easygoing comfort positioning. The location is pitched as both a tourist and local hub, giving Cloudsteppers strong visibility in a regional shopping destination while testing the concept in a lifestyle-driven market.
From flip-flops to a full lifestyle
Cloudsteppers has already built a powerful base in footwear, earning recognition as America’s No. 1 flip-flop brand for women, with more than 25 million pairs of its Breeze Sea style sold globally, according to data cited by the brand. Loved for their “walk-on-air” feel, the shoes focus on lightweight cushioning, flexible soles, and accessible pricing that has resonated with comfort-driven consumers.
The new concept stores broaden that comfort story into an everyday wardrobe, stocked with breathable, ultra-light sneakers, easygoing sandals, and laid-back boots designed to “elevate every off-duty moment.” Accessible price points (reported to start from $9.99 for selected lifestyle items in the concept) are key to the strategy of making head-to-toe comfort attainable.
Apparel and accessories join the mix
For the first time, Cloudsteppers is expanding beyond footwear into casual lifestyle apparel and accessories, including T-shirts, hoodies, socks, caps, and bags crafted from soft-touch fabrics with relaxed silhouettes. These categories are designed to echo Clarks’ comfort aesthetic, turning Cloudsteppers into a one-stop destination for off-duty dressing.
The collection will continue to grow, with plans to add athleisure staples such as leggings and windbreaker jackets in 2026, rounding out a fuller lifestyle offer. Menswear is another big part of the roadmap, with men’s apparel and accessories launching in 2025, followed by men’s footwear scheduled for January 2026.
Clarks’ expansion momentum
The Cloudsteppers rollout comes amid broader global growth for Clarks, which has been investing in new stores and digital expansion across the US, Asia, Europe, and the UK, and partnering with marketplaces including Shein, Target, Walmart, and TikTok Shop. Earlier in 2025, Clarks also opened a reimagined store on London’s Tottenham Court Road, featuring its first Clarks Canvas retail concept as a contemporary showcase for the brand.
“Comfort technology is our obsession. We’ve engineered cushioning and ultra-lightweight innovation for decades, and we’re proud to make that comfort even more accessible through new retail environments and expanded lifestyle ranges. Launching Cloudstepper as a standalone experience is a milestone we’re incredibly excited about, and there’s so much more to come in 2026,” said Clarks VP Americas Retail Peter Quirke.
The three initial openings in Malaysia and Texas are framed as just the start, with more concept locations set to follow in 2026 as Clarks leans into lifestyle, comfort, and multi-category growth.
