Isabel Marant is turning Spring/Summer 2026 into a masterclass in “accessories on the go.” She uses bags, belts, jewelry, and boots to tell a story of sun-soaked wanderlust and effortless movement.
SS26: A traveler’s accessories wardrobe
The Isabel Marant SS26 runway is framed as a solo journey “drawn to the sun.” Clothes and accessories look weathered by heat and travel. Washed leathers, totemic embroideries, beaded fringes, and jewelry etched with bark textures signal obsessive attention to detail. They make accessories feel like talismans picked up along the way.
Between featherlight crochet and asymmetric ruffles, accessories ground the collection: slouchy totes swung on the shoulder, scarf-belts knotted at the waist, and utility-inspired pieces layered in ways that keep hands free and silhouettes fluid.
Bags built for movement
On the SS26 runway, bags are styled as true “on the go” companions:
- Slouchy totes and soft shoulder bags tucked close to the body, as if ready to sling across a dusty highway.
- A new “banana bag,” quietly introduced as a hero piece, worn crossbody for mobility.
The brand’s own edit highlights belt bags, clutches, and small leather goods in a natural palette of sand, ecru, pale yellow, and bronze, with embroidered flowers popping against blue denim for daytime looks that still feel practical.
Jewelry and belts as “totems”
Accessories in SS26 are designed less as decoration and more as story markers. Totemic embroideries, beaded fringes, and bark textured jewelry give the impression of hand-shaped, almost tribal pieces collected over time. Oversized earrings, gem-studded touches, and stacked bracelets show up late in the show. As the palette shifts from neutrals to hints of red, orange, and violet, these accessories add sparkle without losing the relaxed boho undercurrent.
Belts, often rope-like or scarf-tied, cinch draped dresses and low-slung shorts. This underscores the theme of mobility and spontaneity rather than rigid structure.
Boots and shoes, reimagined
Footwear is a major part of the SS26 “on the go” mood. Reviews note khaki green, brown, and cream boot–trainer hybrids. These echo Isabel Marant’s cult early-2000s wedge sneakers. Reworked for 2026, they have a more utility-forward feel. Boots are airy, lace up, and heat-hardened. They are described as “talismanic,” meant to be worn until the soles give out.
For daywear, flat sandals and boot trainers keep looks grounded; by night, sequins and cut-out dresses team with sharper shoes and statement earrings as the palette darkens into black, violet, and astral camo.
