Reebok is doubling down on performance innovation with the expansion of its FloatZig running franchise, unveiling the FloatZig Tread for treadmill athletes and the FloatZig Double for long-distance runners, both dropping on January 21st, 2026. The launch reinforces Reebok’s push to blend expressive design with serious run tech for the modern, multi-environment runner.
Reebok evolves the FloatZig franchise
Announced in Boston, Mass. on January 9th, 2026, Reebok introduced the FloatZig Tread and FloatZig Double as the latest additions to its award-winning FloatZig Running Shoes line. The two new models target distinct use cases: treadmill-first training and high-mileage comfort.
The FloatZig Tread is billed as Reebok’s first performance running shoe built specifically for treadmill running, while remaining versatile enough for indoor–outdoor runs and bodyweight workouts. The FloatZig Double is tuned for distance, with more support and cushioning engineered for higher-mileage sessions.

FloatZig Tread: built for the treadmill era
The FloatZig Tread focuses on a lightweight, responsive ride tailored to treadmill mechanics, starting with a lower stack and dual density midsole for a more connected feel underfoot. A full-length rubber outsole enhances traction and durability, which is critical for runners who split time between belts, studio floors and pavements.
Key tech details include a Lateral Outrigger for stability through gait transition, Griptonite Traction rubber for reinforced durability at impact zones, and a Dual Density SuperFloat Midsole stabilized with an EVA rim for comfort in a minimal stack. Zoned breathability via lightweight upper panels and a gusseted tongue boosts airflow, while ZigTech Technology and a Lower Stack DualFuel Midsole are tuned to smooth out the ride and energize toe-off, in a package with an 8mm drop and weight of 9.1 oz.
FloatZig Double: maximized for long miles
For distance-focused runners, the FloatZig Double leans into cushioning and support to keep strides consistent over longer efforts. It is designed to deliver a “metronomic feel” for high-mileage training days. The shoe features SuperFloat+ Technology for maximum comfort, a Dual Density Midsole for plush yet stable landings, and an Engineered Knit Upper that wraps the foot with enhanced ventilation. A Forefoot Rocker adds subtle propulsion, while a Full-Length Rubber Outsole improves responsiveness and durability, with specs of a 6mm drop and 11.4 oz weight.
Designed for the new look of sport
Both models sit within Reebok’s “New Look of Sport” design DNA, which merges pinnacle performance with bold, expressive styling. They are positioned for runners who want technical credibility without sacrificing visual impact, whether on the treadmill, road, or in group fitness studios. The global running campaign is headlined by Reebok’s athlete roster, featuring race car driver Pierre Gasly and CrossFit standouts Christian Harris and Fee Saghafi, captured on their home turf in gritty, unfiltered training environments. The imagery underscores Reebok’s focus on authenticity and peak performance rather than polished perfection.
Launch details and pricing
On January 21st, the Reebok FloatZig Tread will be available for $110 (MSRP) and at Road Runner Sports, while the FloatZig Double will launch at $140 exclusively. Both silhouettes will debut in a range of unisex and women’s colorways, with additional packs rolling out over the season and availability varying by market.
For the drop, runners can expect full head-to-toe solutions, as Reebok continues to position itself at the intersection of performance, lifestyle and sport. The collection is aimed at everyone from treadmill starters to seasoned marathoners looking for specialized tools to match how and where they actually train.
