Shoppers in Miami now have access to an immersive athletic footwear experience that brings together the brand’s leading sports technologies and star athlete roster under one roof.
U.S. Debut of Skechers’ Performance Concept
Skechers opened its first U.S. Performance store on August 29 at Dolphin Mall in Miami, showcasing a massive 26,017-square-foot space—now the brand’s largest factory outlet worldwide. Following successful launches in Canada, Europe, and Chile, Miami’s unveiling was timed for the brand’s continued rise among athletes and everyday consumers alike.
Interactive World of Sports
The new location isn’t just a store—it’s a “World of Sports.” Shoppers explore interactive racetracks, in-store basketball and pickleball courts, a golf green, and adventure zones, all surrounded by dynamic digital LED screens and selfie backdrops featuring Miami designs.
“This store is set up for experience,” noted product specialists during opening weekend, as visitors sprinted on tracks and tried products on real courts and greens. Entire categories—including basketball, running, soccer, golf, pickleball, outdoor adventure, and lifestyle comfort—are all represented.
Athlete Energy and Star Power
The Miami grand opening was attended by NBA forward and Skechers athlete Julius Randle, highlighting the brand’s growing pro roster. Notable Skechers athletes now include Joel Embiid, OG Anunoby, Norman Powell, Terance Mann, Rickea Jackson, and others—plus elite players across golf, pickleball, soccer, baseball, and international cricket.
Michael Greenberg, president of Skechers, said: “The Skechers Performance retail era is in full force, from our first flagship store earlier this year in Canada to two new locations in Europe this spring and our recently opened destination in Chile, all have shown how enthusiastic our consumers are for our Comfort that Performs.”
“At our largest factory mall location, Skechers’ World of Sports showcases all that’s revolutionary about our one-of-a-kind technologies for the 36 million annually who frequent one of the highest-traffic tourist malls in the country. Like every professional athlete and enthusiast who has stepped into our styles, we’re all in and are ready to change the game,” continued Greenberg.
Why Miami and What’s Next
Miami was selected for its diverse, sports-focused community and the massive visitor traffic Dolphin Mall draws. With this format, Skechers aims to grow its share in performance sports categories traditionally held by giants like Nike and Adidas—leveraging both star athlete partnerships and in-store tech for an edge.
The launch follows the brand’s debut of new silhouettes like the SKX Full-Court Press basketball shoe and AERO series running shoes, further building the Skechers reputation for both comfort and innovation.
The new Performance store in Miami symbolizes Skechers’ rise as a performance and comfort powerhouse, ready to “change the game” for athletes and shoppers both locally and globally.
