Nike Unveils Nature-Inspired Women’s Artist Collection with Designer Susan Fang

Nike and Chinese designer and artist Susan Fang have teamed up to bring a fresh expression of strength, grace, and resilience to women’s sportswear with the debut of the Nike Women’s Artist Collection. Drawing deep inspiration from nature’s flowing water, refracted light, and blooming flowers, the collection blends natural beauty with athletic performance and artistry.

Susan Fang first connected with Nike two years ago through the Boundless Girl initiative, where she created a vibrant nature-inspired playground in rural Yunnan to encourage girls to run freely and pursue their passions. That same spirit of empowerment and connection to nature now comes alive in this footwear and apparel collaboration.

The collection features two iconic Nike silhouettes reimagined through Fang’s artistic lens. The retro Nike V2K Run showcases screen-printed ripples inspired by her childhood drawings, while the Nike Dunk Low is crafted with jacquard fabric reflecting her mother’s artwork. Both designs are adorned with embroidered flowers blooming around the Swoosh, symbolizing the shared creativity and legacy of Susan and her mother.

Fang’s love for nature and artistry permeates beyond footwear. The collection includes a three-dimensional beaded flower jacket, sports bras and shorts with delicate forget-me-not prints, and accessories such as shoulder bags, socks, and long-sleeve T-shirts. The color palette—airy blues, fresh greens, and dawn yellows—expresses emotions of love, memory, and renewal.

The inspiration behind the collection began with a dive underwater, capturing the magical moment sunlight slices through water and meets rising bubbles. This fleeting beauty is translated through Susan’s signature hand-beaded details: Swooshes ripple like streams and airy flowers float ethereally, representing women’s resilience and the harmony of strength and softness.

“My hope is that when people wear this collection, they feel a kind of joy that’s small but deeply real, like the bubbles of light I once saw rising through the water,” says Fang.
