Chris Paul, the legendary point guard, entrepreneur, and philanthropist, is entering a new chapter in Los Angeles as the Chris Paul Collective brings together his diverse business and charitable ventures. Founded and led by Paul, the Collective now unifies consumer products, basketball, media, investments, events, and community impact—creating a single, purpose-driven ecosystem rooted where Paul both plays and builds.

New Leadership: David Schwab Joins as President
To fuel his next stage of growth, Paul has appointed David Schwab, a seasoned sports and entertainment executive, as the first President of The Chris Paul Collective. Schwab brings over 25 years at Octagon Sports Agency, where he founded First Call, one of the industry’s earliest influencer marketing divisions.
Schwab’s network inside Fortune 500s, non-profits, and athlete-led ventures positions him perfectly to scale Paul’s business and philanthropic ecosystem, focusing on strategic operations, growth, and authentic influence.
Paul’s senior leadership team includes CJ Paul, Carmen Wilson, Jacqueline Taylor, and a network of trusted advisors and partners.
Basketball, Empowerment, and Legacy
Now in his 21st NBA season, Paul ranks second all-time in career assists and steals, is a 12-time NBA All-Star, a two-time Olympic gold medalist (Team USA Basketball), and a nine-time NBA All-Defensive Team selection.
As the longest-serving President of the National Basketball Players Association (2013–2021), Paul drove player empowerment and economic opportunity, helping redefine the modern NBA landscape.
Off the court, Paul has authored a New York Times bestseller, won the ESPN Humanitarian of the Year award, and built a business portfolio with a focus on quality, equity, and innovation.
“Basketball will always be at my core, but as I continue building across business and philanthropy, it’s important to work alongside dedicated, talented people,” said Paul. “David’s experience in scaling and leadership will help us build on the strong foundation our team has established. Together, we’ll grow in ways that stay true to who we are and focus on what matters—meaningful work in business, in our communities, and for the next generation. And doing it here in Los Angeles ,back on the court, surrounded by my family, and at the center of so much of my business, makes it even more special.”
“Chris has an unmatched work ethic and a mindset that elevates everyone around him,” said Schwab. “He’s the kind of person you want to build with, relentless, thoughtful, and values-driven. What makes this opportunity special is that Chris brings the same intensity and care to business and community impact as he does to basketball, and he’s surrounded by a strong, trusted team that’s been with him for years.”
Looking Forward: Impact Beyond the Game
With unified leadership and a focus on innovation, inclusion, and legacy, The Chris Paul Collective stands poised to create lasting impact in Los Angeles and nationally, helping redefine what it means for NBA players to lead far beyond the hardwood.
