Lacoste has opened two high-altitude padel courts in Courchevel 1850, extending its racket-sport footprint from tennis into one of Europe’s most exclusive ski resorts. The Club Lacoste Courchevel project blends alpine tourism, four-season sport, and subtle brand storytelling around padel’s rapid rise as a social, lifestyle-driven game.

High-altitude Club Lacoste

Since December 20, 2025, Courchevel 1850 has hosted Club Lacoste Courchevel, featuring two new padel courts developed with Courchevel Tourisme, the Club des Sports, and the local municipality. Set at roughly 1,800 metres above sea level at the foot of the Émile Allais slalom stadium, opposite the INEOS Club House, they rank among the highest permanent padel courts in France.

Year-round, heated courts

The courts are open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and use a geothermal heating system that keeps the playing surface usable year-round while limiting energy impact. Positioned just steps from the pistes, the installation effectively creates a “ski-in, padel-out” experience, letting visitors move from snow to glass-walled courts in a matter of seconds.

Branding, design, and atmosphere

Visually, the project leans on Lacoste’s sportstyle codes rather than heavy logo saturation, with signature green courts and discreet branding framing views of the surrounding Alps. The result is closer to a private club aesthetic than a pop-up stunt, aligning with Courchevel’s premium positioning while still feeling accessible to resort guests and locals.

Padel’s rise and Lacoste’s move

Padel has become a fixture in high-end leisure destinations, with luxury fashion and sport brands increasingly entering the category through gear, collabs and venue sponsorships. Lacoste’s Courchevel move is its first major padel-specific facility, signalling a willingness to evolve from tennis heritage into the broader racket-sport ecosystem where social play and lifestyle matter as much as performance.

Capsule collection and local retail

To support the launch, Lacoste and Courchevel have introduced a Lacoste x Courchevel apparel capsule, available at the Club des Sports boutique and selected partners in the resort. An exclusive Lacoste corner is also planned inside the INEOS Club House, tightening the link between on-court experience, après-sport social life, and retail.
