Saucony, the 127-year-old running brand under Wolverine World Wide (NYSE: WWW), has unveiled its 2025 North American professional running roster, adding 11 elite athletes to its existing nine-member team. The expansion, announced March 11, 2025, underscores the brand’s push to dominate road, track, and trail disciplines while fostering innovation through athlete-driven product development.

New Athletes and Strategic Focus

The 11 newcomers—spanning distances from the mile to the marathon—include standout names like Katie Camarena (trail specialist), Chandler Gibbens (NCAA cross-country champion), and Yazmine Wright (2024 U.S. Olympic Trials qualifier). They join veterans such as marathoner Molly Huddle and Olympic steeplechaser Grayson Murphy.

Ted Fitzpatrick, Saucony’s VP of Product Management, emphasized the roster’s diversity: “Their versatility across events enriches our program, driving innovation that benefits every runner”.

Saucony’s unique “co-creation” model integrates athletes into product testing and development. This collaboration has fueled technologies like PWRRUN™ PB cushioning and SPEEDROLL™ propulsion plates, featured in the Endorphin Elite 2—worn by Canadian Olympian Malindi Elmore in Paris 2024. Joy Allen-Altimare, Saucony’s CMO, stated: “Running transcends sport—it’s a shared journey that connects us all.”

With the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics driving renewed interest in athletics, Saucony’s roster strengthens its visibility among elite competitors. The brand aims to capitalize on a $55 billion global sports apparel market, leveraging athlete endorsements and performance-driven designs.

As Saucony bridges elite performance and everyday running culture, its athlete-centric approach positions it to lead in a competitive market. The 2025 roster not only boosts Olympic ambitions but also reinforces the brand’s legacy of uniting runners through innovation and community.
